Dan has over 30 years experience in the establishment and growth of new businesses, covering broad areas of responsibility including Finance, Accounting, Treasury, Cash Management, Operations, Sales, Risk Management, and Human Resources.
Over his career, Dan has been Partner of a seed Venture Capital Fund, Vice President of Finance and Treasurer at a pharmaceutical manufacturing organization, as well as President and COO of a worldwide supplier of prosthetic feet where he is a member of the Board of Directors. In 2000, Dan founded Beardslee Venture Advisors, LLC where he served as part time CFO / Controller for small to medium sized businesses.
Dan was raised in Southeastern Michigan. he has volunteered as mentor or judge in Business Plan Competition since 2001. He is an Adjunct Professor of management at Lawrence Technological University (LTU). At his church, he has held several leadership roles including Treasurer. Dan has a Masters of Science Degree in management from MIT Sloan School of Management as well as a Bachelors Degree in Mechanical Engineering from Kettering University of Flint.
Outside of work, Dan enjoys music, kayaking, hiking, travelling and family time with his wife, Sue, 3 children, and 2 dogs.
